Last year, retrospective tribute was paid to Orson Welles, and this year one of the festival sections will focus on films noir by Otto Preminger.
Olivia De Havilland tribute
The Dark Mirror (1946) will be included in the programme as part of the tribute to this unforgettable charismatic actress’ face.
ENTRANCE TICKETS AND PASSES
Festival passes and entrance tickets can be reserved from 22/06. It is possible to pay for NOIR pass and support the 4th edition of NFF already from 1/05.
NFF 2016 programme section Noir western will offer Winchester 73 (1950, dir. Anthony Mann) starring James Stewart and Samuel Fuller’s Forty Guns (1957) with Barbara Stanwyck.
San Francisco Noir
One of the thematic sections of this year’s festival is clear: films noir set in San Francisco.
Street Kings (2008), directed by David Ayer, will be part of the thematic section of films connected with the work of American writer and screenwriter James Ellroy.
Kirk Douglas tribute
We will pay tribute to a man who is celebrating a jubilee this year – Kirk Douglas (*1916).
