January Echoes – screenings at Křivoklát, in Brno and in Boskovice

The 25th year of the new millennium is slowly coming to an end, but you will still be able to commemorate it in January 2026 at a total of five screenings of the 13th annual festival Echoes – at the Sokol Křivoklát cinema on January 2 (from 5:00 p.m. „Snake Poison“ and 7:00 p.m. „Witness for the Prosecution“), at the Art Cinema in Brno on January 6 (from 8:30 p.m. „Witness for the Prosecution“) and at the Boskovice Cinema on January 8 (from 7:00 p.m. „Witness for the Prosecution“) and January 18 (at 7:00 p.m. „The People Against. O’Hara“).

So don’t miss your last chance to „get a taste of one of this year’s festival films“; all three are definitely worth seeing… Have a great end of the year :)!

Lednové projekce Ozvěn v Křivoklátě, Brně a Boskovicích

25. rok nového milénia se pomalu blíží ke konci, přesto si jej budete moci připomenout ještě v lednu 2026 na celkem pěti promítáních Ozvěn 13. ročníku – v Biografu Sokol Křivoklát 2. ledna (od 17:00 hod. “Hadí jed” a 19:00 “Svědek obžaloby”), v brněnském Kině Art 6. 1. (od 20:30 “Svěděk obžaloby”) a Kině Boskovice 8. 1. (od 19:00 “Svědek obžaloby”) a 18. 1. (od 19:00 “Lid vs. O’Hara”).

Tak si nenechte ujít poslední příležitost “ochutnat jeden z letošních festivalových filmů”, všechny tři stojí rozhodně za vidění… Pohodový konec roku :)!

14th Noir Film Festival is coming back to Český Šternberk!

The 14th edition of the NFF will take place from August 19 to 22, 2026, at the castle and in the foothills of Český Šternberk, where the festival is returning as part of the previously announced rotation between two castles.

From January 6, it will be possible to contribute to its preparations with a donation of any amount, for which it will be possible to obtain one of the „generous“ or basic festival accreditations in advance. The sale of basic accreditations through the festival’s reservation system will then begin on April 1, 2026.

We look forward to seeing you for the fifth time on the „starry mountain“ :)!

14. Noir Film Festival se vrací na Český Šternberk!

Již čtrnáctý ročník NFF se uskuteční od 19. do 22. 8. 2026 na hradě a v podhradí Českého Šternberka, kam se festival vrací v rámci dříve ohlášeného střídání dvou hradů.

Od 6. ledna bude možné přispět na jeho přípravy darem v libovolné výši, za který bude možné s předstihem získat jako protihodnotu jednu ze “štědrých” nebo základních festivalových akreditací. Prodej základních akreditací přes rezervační systém festivalu bude potom zahájen 1. 4. 2026.

Festival echoes in Kino Art in Brno start today!

On December 9, 2025, and January 6, 2026, Kino Art will host the Echoes of this year’s 13th edition of the festival.

Echoes of the 13th Edition in Lucerna Cinema and Municipal Cinema Beroun

In November, Prague’s Lucerna Cinema will host the traditional „Echoes of the Noir Film Festival“ (November 27-29, 2025, small hall), which will feature five films from this year’s 13th edition – on Thursday, „Collateral“ (starting at 8:30 p.m.), on Friday, the courtroom dramas „People against. O’Hara“ (at 6:00 p.m.) and Witness for the Prosecution (at 8:15 p.m.), and on Saturday, Robert Siodmak’s „Criss Cross“ (at 6:00 p.m.) and „Dark Mirror“ (at 8:15 p.m.). You are cordially invited! V listopadu se v pražském Kině Lucerna uskuteční již tradiční “Ozvěny Noir Film Festivalu” (27. – 29. 11. 2025, malý sál), v rámci kterých bude uvedeno pět filmů z letošního 13. ročníku – ve čtvrtek “Collateral” (od 20:30 hod.), v pátek soudní dramata “Lid vs. O’Hara” (od 18:00) a “Svědek obžaloby” (od 20:15) a v soboutu snímky režiséra Roberta Siodmaka “Křížem krážem” (od 18:00) a “Temné zrcadlo” (od 20:15). A review of Snake Poison DVD was released

We thank Petr Gajdošík and Nostalghie.cz for the lovely review of the “Snake Poison”DVD , which we released in August at our festival.

It is the fifth “forgotten” Czechoslovak film (after “Vertigo”, „A Dead Man Among the Living“, „Midnight Mass“ a „The Plain Old Maid”), that was first released on DVD in Czechia, in cooperation with Magic Box. Even though the sales of films on physical discs decreases from year to year, there are still enough enthusiasts and collectors among us to whom the Noir Film Festival edition brings joy :).
