Tickets and Passes

The prices of the „generous“ and basic passes for the 11th edition (with the exception of the Whole-Festival Pass) remain the same as in 2022. Individual ticket prices will also remain the same as last year. The number of „generous passes“ is also limited this year so that we can guarantee the benefits associated with them.

One-day passes will only be available for purchase for Friday 25 Aug and Saturday 26 Aug 2023.

NOIR pass (35 pcs), SPONSOR pass (12 pcs) and PARTNER pass (3 pcs) are already SOLD OUT!

The remaining festival pass types (Whole-Festival, Weekend and One-Day) have been and can be purchased/reserved starting May 10, 2023.

Tickets for individual festival screenings can be booked and purchased from 26 June 2023 at the above email address. Payment for the ordered passes and tickets can be made after the allocation of the variable symbol, to the usual festival account: 107-5323330277/0100 (special account for Noir Film Festival).

All festival passes and tickets will be available for pick-up only at the Festival Centre at Český Šternberk Castle from the opening day of the festival, i.e. from 24 August 2023 (10:00 a.m.).

1/ Individual tickets

Ticket prices for individual festival screenings (on sale from 26 June 2023):

a) all screenings under the patronage of the U.S. Embassy are priced at CZK 0. However, each ticket for these screenings comes with a flat-rate contribution/donation of CZK 100, which will be used to cover the costs of renting the festival halls and equipping them with professional film equipment (projectors, screens, sound system). It concerns a total of 25 screenings (Scandal Sheet /both screenings/, Chicago Deadline, Ace in the Hole /screening Aug 24/, Suspicion /both screenings/, Dark Waters, Nocturne /both screenings/ Alfred Hitchcock presents, Pickup /both screenings/, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Cutter’s Way /both screenings/, Jealousy, 12 Angry Men, Tokyo Joe, The Batman, The Lego Batman Movie, The Dark Knight /both screenings/, Batman, Street with No Name and The Reckless Moment.
Upon request, the festival will issue a donation receipt to each holder of this ticket.

b) film screenings á CZK 100 (remaining festival screenings, except for the screenings listed under c)

c) film screenings á CZK 130 (three main evening screenings); specific films: Deadline – U.S.A., They Won’t Believe Me a Shakedown

d) concerts (Kamil Janský – saxophone /Aug 25 from 16:00 /, Terezie Kovalová – cello and Linda „Vesmír“ Arbanová – Vjing /Aug 26 from 16:00 /) in the Gothic castle kitchen – á CZK 250 / CZK 100 for Noir pass holders / free of charge after prior reservation for Partner and Sponsor pass holders. Tickets booked and paid for by July 31 can be purchased at a discount of CZK 50 from the full ticket price, i.e. á for CZK 200.

e) ticket for Ondřej Čížek’s lecture (with discussion; only in Czech!) on „Batman noir“ (Aug 26 at 5:15 pm) is free of charge after prior reservation.

f) children under 6 years of age are admitted to the festival screenings and concerts free of charge, but without a separate seat

2/ Whole-Festival pass

(valid Aug 24–27 Aug, one pass can be used for a maximum of 17 tickets)
– CZK 1.300 / CZK 1.200 (if purchased by July 31)
– students, seniors +65, disabled/P and *residents: CZK 1.200 

3/ Weekend pass

(valid from Aug 25 /from 21:00!/ – Aug 27, maximum 9 tickets per pass)
– includes the possibility of choosing tickets for two Friday screenings (main evening and midnight)
– CZK 750 / CZK 700 (if purchased by July 31)
– students, seniors +65, disabled/P and *residents: CZK 700

4/ One-day pass /only for Friday 25 Aug and Saturday 26 Aug!/

(valid on 25 August or 26 August 2023, one passport can be used for a maximum of 4 tickets)
– CZK 380
– students, seniors +65, disabled/P and *residents: CZK 350

*residents – visitors with permanent residence in Český Šternberk, Šternov, Drahňovice, Divišov, Čeřenice, Měchnov, Soběšín, Otryby, Podveky, Malovidy, Kácov and Rataje nad Sázavou

5/ NOIR pass

(35 pcs – sold out, valid throughout the festival)

– 2.500 CZK, a generous pass, for those who want to financially support the organization of the festival – especially to contribute to the costs of renting the castle premises and promoting this year’s festival.

From the price of the pass, the amount of CZK 1,300 is considered a donation to the festival.

The owner will guarantee:

• a seat in the hall, with a recommendation to choose films for the following festival day (no later than 9:00 pm on the previous day at the festival centre), or by e-mail for Thursday Aug 24, or to choose films for the whole festival – with the possibility of adding (exchanging) them later. Only in this case, the festival guarantees the pass holder one of the marked, best seats in the hall (2nd – 4th row). Otherwise, the festival guarantees the pass holder only a seat in the hall, without any further advantage.
• one bottle of wine (0.5 l) Pinot blanc from the special festival edition of Château Valtice wines
• dark chocolate Merci 72%
• a can of Royal Crown Cola (0,33 l)
• a bottle of black beer „Black Marlowe“ (brewery Zichovec)
• festival catalogue
• a public thank you at the opening or closing of the festival and a named thank you in the catalogue or on the festival website
• preferential arranging of festival accommodation in Český Šternberk (Penzion v parku, Penzion na zastávce) and its surroundings (Divišov or Dvůr Prak)

6/ SPONSOR pass

(12 pcs – sould out, valid for the whole duration of the festival)

– CZK 5.000, a very generous accreditation, for those who want to financially support the organisation of the festival – especially to contribute to the costs of renting the castle premises and translating the subtitles for the festival films.

From the price of the pass, the amount of CZK 3,800 is considered a donation to the festival.

The owner will guarantee:

• a seat in the hall, with a recommendation to choose films for the following festival day (no later than 9:00 pm on the previous day at the festival centre), or by e-mail for Thursday 24 August, or to choose films for the whole festival – with the possibility of adding (exchanging) them later. Only in this case the festival will guarantee the pass holder one of the marked, best seats in the hall (in the 2nd – 3rd row). Otherwise, the festival guarantees the pass holder only a seat in the hall, without any further advantage.
• one bottle of wine (0.5 l) Pinot blanc from the special festival edition of Château Valtice wines
• DVD with a film featured at the 11th edition of the festival (Midnight Mass /1962/), which will be released for the first time at the festival
• dark chocolate Merci 72%
• a can of Royal Crown Cola (0,33 l)
• a bottle of black beer „Black Marlowe“ (brewery Zichovec)
• a souvenir with the festival logo (handmade soap Silver Screen from the Magic Mill Soap Factory)
• festival catalogue
• a public thank you at the opening or closing of the festival and a named thank you in the catalogue or on the festival website
• preferential arrangement of festival accommodation in Český Šternberk (Penzion v park, UniqHotel or Penzion na zastávce)

7/ PARTNER pass

(3 pcs – sould out, 2 pcs Noir accreditation or 4 pcs Whole-Festival pass with benefit)

– CZK 20.000, partner pass, for those who want to significantly support the festival organization, especially to contribute to the rental of film equipment and licensing fees for the rights to screen festival films.

From the price of the pass, the amount of CZK 15.000 is considered a donation to the festival.

The owner will guarantee:

• a minimum of two seats in the hall, with a recommendation to choose films for the following festival day (no later than 9:00 pm on the previous day at the festival centre), or by e-mail for Thursday 24 August, or to choose films for the whole festival – with the possibility of adding (exchanging) them later. Only in this case the festival guarantees the holders of these accreditations marked seats in the hall (in the 1st – 2nd row). Otherwise, it only guarantees seats in the hall, without any further advantage.
• one bottle of wine (0.5 l) Pinot blanc from the special festival edition of Château Valtice wines
• a voucher for refreshments in the festival café Kava pitel or catering (worth CZK 500)
• dark chocolate Merci 72%
• Blu-ray disc with a film presented at the 11th edition of the festival (Ace in the Hole), which will be released for the first time at the festival
• 2x cans of Royal Crown Cola (0,33 l)
• 2x bottle of a bottle of black beer „Black Marlowe“ (brewery Zichovec)
• a souvenir with the festival logo (handmade soap Silver Screen from the Magic Mill Soap Factory)
• festival catalogue

• festival accommodation (double room with breakfast for 3 nights or quadruple room with breakfast for 2 nights) in Český Šternberk (Penzion v parku, UniqHotel or Penzion na zastávce) at the expense of the festival

The NOIR and SPONSOR pass can be donated to another person, but the benefits of ownership are not multiplied and belong to one person only
