Captain Havel (Jiří Adamíra) and Lieutenant Mareš (Miroslav Zounar) are searching for the murderer of war criminal Franz Moose, a fugitive patient from the psychiatric hospital. The screenplay was written by director Jiří Hanibal and by an experienced author of detective stories Pavel Hejcman. In the same year, Hejcman released the story as a book titled Dům za duhovou zdí. Director Hanibal specialized mainly in family comedies and works reflecting the life of the then socialist young people. This intimate film, which builds on the oppressive atmosphere of a hospital located in a former monastery, has succeeded in the field of detective stories. It could rely on the best Czech actors with leading Jiří Adamíra, who appeared in a different role in the same year as a villain in crime film A Game without Rules by Jindřich Polák and a year earlier excelled in television film Ministry of Fear by Eva Sadková. (Veronika Zýková)
